Although we have standard ongoing volunteer positions, new positions are often created. Most volunteer positions are weekly commitments and take place Monday through Friday between the hours of 9 am and 3pm. Some short-term evening and weekend events are also available. Those who attend a volunteer orientation are added to an email list serve, which provides monthly updates and the latest openings.

- Food Link Assistant
Help the Food Bank for Larimer County provide thousands of pounds of food to over 70 local, non-profit agencies in Larimer County including the Boys and Girls Clubs of Larimer County, Catholic Charities, and Open Door Mission. We are looking for volunteers to assist us in providing food for these agencies and the low-income individuals and families they serve.
Food Share Assistant
Food Share Assistants provide direct service to our clients in our food pantry area, Food Share. Help the Food Bank for Larimer County provide quality foods to over 11,500 low-income individuals and families every month. In this area you will be able to see firsthand how your contribution is changing the lives of people in need in Larimer County and work directly with our clients who receive this much needed food. Volunteer duties include greeting clients, checking identification, updating personal information and handing out commodity bags for the month.
Kids Cafe Food Servers and Kitchen Assistants
Hundreds of children are in need of food in Larimer County. During the school year they are often able to receive reduced-cost or free breakfasts and lunches at school. But after school, and during the summer, many of these children are unsure of where their next meal will come from. Be a part of providing over 400 nutritious meals to kids in need and help keep their minds and bodies healthy year-round. Food Servers make a difference in the lives of children by serving food, monitoring the youth in the eating area, cleaning before and after mealtime and assisting younger children with their trays. Kitchen Assistants help with prepping, preparing and portioning food for Kids Cafe. No culinary training is necessary.
You can help us distribute over 7 million pounds of food this year by volunteering in the Food Bank for Larimer County's Warehouse. Each month we supply hundreds of TEFAP (The Emergency Food Assistance Program) bags filled with nutritious commodities (shelf-stable items) to individuals and families. Without the work of our Warehouse volunteers we would be unable to produce these valuable bags, which help so many people. Volunteers in this area help by making TEFAP bags, repacking bulk items, sorting food and helping staff distribute food to our member agencies.
